Citta is Sanskrit for mindset or consciousness and Svasthya represents health, satisfaction and wellness.
We create new travel ideas in consciousness of healthy balanced life. We avoid superficial way of travelling like “enjoying” the destination just through the bus window or “collecting” as many sights as possible just to be able to say “Hey, I´ve been in X, Y and Z…”.
At Citta Svasthya Vakansi we prefer to skip some itineraries in favor of a deeper insight into really interesting culture. One of our priorities is having enough time to be physically active, yes, breathing in the fresh mountain air not just during ten minutes’ photo stop, but hike a couple of hours and learn to know the nature much closer.
You think hiking or climbing is nothing for you? Take it easy, it is not about a heroic action, but rather for your own satisfaction. Of course, you´re allowed to be proud of it afterwards. And some of our trips are quite challenging too. But honestly, we´re not going to risk our health or even life for it. No, it´s not worth that high price. And that´s not necessary too, because we tackle our trips with proper precautions and preparations. Frankly speaking, with compulsory knowledge, experience and the right tactic it is e.g. not absolutely necessary to die due to altitude sickness up to around 6000 m.
Yes, we do care of your health. If you think, our trips are all not possible or too hard for you, do not hesitate to ask our experts and many of you will be surprised. Let us show you that some “big” goals are not too big at all. Travelling and experiencing the nature are our own passion and -driven by our never-ending wanderlust- we believe we all should venture more and hope you´ll take the plunge soon. For your body. And Soul. See you on the trail
We design our trips carefully to make it an unforgettable journey.
Our main goals are:
- zero accident
- best support all the time for all clients
- highest success quote possible
- least hidden cost
We don´t pack a trip in a shorter time frame as needed just to get more bookings. We rather exclude such trips whenever we´re not sure, that the goal is only possible for the supposedly strongest or fastest of the group. Only experienced and approved guides will accompany you and you will find only well maintained officially approved safety equipment during the trip. In European Alps for example we work together with IFMGA certified guides to meet safety rule and national laws. The IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations) certification represents the highest attainable one in mountain guiding. In North America, there are only about 111 of them. In Germany, around 500. Got a picture?
Tjahjadi, during his youth time in Jakarta, he was never allowed to go into the mountains by his parents. “Because it´s dangerous”. He never forgot his dream and started to travel and climb while studying mechanical engineering in Germany. He found engineering “too technical” and became a professional photographer instead. After a couple of years handling cars, fashion etc. he focused on outdoor, travel and landscapes. The knowledge of climbing and safety technic, including glacier travel, is a must to plan and conduct a safe and successful photo shoot with quite “some” participants. His shots were published by different European companies in outdoor business like Deuter (Rucksacks), Yeti (Down gears) or biggest German outdoor retailer Globetrotter. It brought him tons of knowledge about outdoor gears that he actually could probably work as consultant in this industry as well. But more of that, it took him to many beautiful places - not only mountainous areas - in search for perfect locations. He benefits a lot from all of this and started to work as a guide for a German climbing school and trekking operator, guiding European clients to the Nepal Himalayas, Africa (e.g. Kilimanjaro), European Alps, Siberia and Kamchatka, Russia. To be up to date he regularly attends courses like special one concerning altitude sickness held by experts of German Society for Mountain and Expedition Medicine. He accompanies some CSV trips his own explaining everything in Bahasa Indonesia. For tips and tricks for outdoor life and photography or some impressions from his actual trip follow him at our blog **link Ps. Tjahjadi still doesn´t tell his Mom, what he´s really doing in the mountains spending so much time out there every year. But slowly she can imagine ;-)
